Well, not the sort of clothes I'm used to buying, anyway. Matalan have a sale on. I found things that were in my size, and half price. And I got "but compared to that stuff you brought home last weekend, that looks cheap and nasty". Well, yes, there's a reason for that...
stevieannie, you have corrupted my husband! He's threatening to drag me off round real clothes shops now, and I've always been perfectly happy with Matalan and charity shops. Clothes shopping? Discussion of "fashion", as if it was something I had the slightest interest in? Sales bods in pointy shoes sneering about "plus sizes"? Bleargh...

And I'm of the opinion that there's a wealth of difference between looking good and following fashion. I don't have a single item that I've bought because it was fashionable, but when all the "hippy-chick" stuff came round last year, I looked very with-it, as I'd been dressing like that for *years* - long and wafty suits both my body and my temperament!
