janewilliams20Weekend turning out surprisingly well considering.
Cold still bad, cough getting morè noticable, but more with it than I was. And I have a Dave to look after me :)
Friday, off to Swindon and Brenda's funeral. Dad had said he might not make it due to back trouble, so we were a bit nervous that there'd be no-one there we knew. No problems. Exchanged txtxs with Mum on the way, followed them into the church carpark, then parked next to Kath and Mike. A long way for them from St Andrews! Then Tina and Jared arrived, so all our side of the family were together.
Got through service without a coughing fit despite singing. Learnt more about Brenda from the priest than I'd ever known. Memo to self, get to know some of the rest of my relatives *before* they're dead. Went round to Brenda's sister's place for lunch afterwards, and they're all nice people.
And off to the Tudor Arms at Slimbridge, and their wonderful food, and an early night.
Saturday, had planned on Birds. Heavy rain plus a cold plus £7.50 entrance meant a replan. Cardiff. Went shopping. Past Times sale, some more Warhammer skellies to go with the existing army, a docking station for the iPod, and a harp book and CD. There's a shop here that only does harps!!!!
Dave ended up carrying three bags of my shopping. Well, one CD, a DVD and a tube of glue were for him.
Ate at the Slug and Lettuce. Now I know what samphire tasts like.
The new coats we got for Xmas are VERY nice.
Now back at the Tudor Arms, trying new docking station. Better find some food.
