It's all progress, but this is multi-tasking and then some. I'm trying to make sure I do at least a little bit of some sort of crafting every day - it's good for me, quite apart from things "needing" to be done. The easiest way to arrange that is to spend perhaps half an hour in the craft room (upstairs) before coming down for breakfast. Getting up and down stairs is still hard work and needs at least one hand free, so carrying things is something to plan.
Assembling and painting wargames figures is always "do a bit, wait for it to dry", and so is card-making to some extent. So I tend to do the next step on one project, and then leave it till the next day to do the step after that.

On the go at the moment:
Painting:
Zola Fel army, stronghold - this is the Temple Barge, moored by the river bank.
Zola Fel army, God - the Watchdog of Corflu. Needs to be scratch-built.
Dragon-newt army, infantry - need the initial filing and tidying done before undercoat
Dragon-newt army, cavalry - bird mounts need filing as above, riders need the bows removing, the shields removing if I use the second possible option for the figures (they've got them on their left arms, dragonnewts are left-handed) and possibly a weapon-swap with some Aztecs.
Dragon-newt army, God - multi-part figure, needs assembly, and it doesn't look like the parts fit too well to me.
Dragon-newt army, Dragon option 1 - most re-assembly done, need to get the final arm to fit (it's been arguing). That means removing the excess super-glue from the failed attempts.
Dragon-newt army, Dragon option 1 - second wind needs the paint finishing. I've found a red and a blue that will match the original, it's a case of layers of red until it covers the existing blue splodges, then the blue details, then the "claws" on the wing edges. Then I'll be able to re-attach them as well.

Dragon-newt army, Dragon option 2 - a plastic model, fully assembled, from which I want to remove the rider (it's 25mm, this is for a 10mm army) and unbase it so I can get it on a 40mm frontage instead of the current 50mm.

Sewing:
Nice new skirt needs a pocket fitting by Tuesday so I can wear it to work.

Knitting:
Carry on with the Victorian gloves, second try. Next step: transfer from the nasty cheap needles to the new Addis.

So what happened this morning?
The tent model to go on the barge was dry, and I'm happy enough with the shading and highlighting - not brilliant, but as good as I'm likely to get it. Applied dimensional glue to hold tent to barge, since it's a rough surface, sprayed with matt finish to go over the Army Painter Quick Shade.

Attempted to "rescue" a rather old pot of red paint that's exactly the shade I wanted it. Still failed - it's going on, but with "lumps" rather than smooth. Wiped it off, revived Dave's Vallejo red, used that instead on the wings for Dragon 1 - it's covering nicely. Used that as a wash on the wing that had already been done to get them to match.

Tidied up all paints no longer in use, retained samples I'd done on bits of paper.

Took a first close look at the problem of removing the rider from Dragon 2. Pulled out nice new knife set. The first magnetic strip for blades fell out, again. This time, found the double-sided tape and mended it.
Applied fine sharp knife to where the rider's legs meet the dragon's sides. Looked at how the rest of the saddle as attached. Got nervous at how the wings were wobbling, decided to remove them in a deliberate and clean manner rather than an accidental and messy one. Applied Superglue Remover and wiggled - wings are now off, and can easily be reattached when I'm done.
Soaked rider/saddle area in Superglue Remover. Wiggled. Nothing happened.
Next plan - look at pictures of this model in sprue form online to see how it fits together and what needs pulling off what.

Found the skirt that needs a pocket, and some thread that matches it, and some fabric that will do for the pocket.
Brought the lot downstairs.

Possible jobs now downstairs:
Do the skirt pocket
Make bean pickle
Do filing etc. on Dragonnewts
Research for Dragon 2 assembly
Edit: found a YouTube video that shows exactly what I need. 11 minutes in is the fitting of the saddle.

Bit of time on the Wii Fit now we have batteries for it.
Lunch!
