Progress report of sorts

Somewhat vague about days and things here - Christmas and New Year's Eve seem to have happened almost with me noticing. Today seems to be Saturday, and a new year?
I think it was Monday, we did a trip to Sainsburys and I realised the extent to which this cold/cough thing has affected my balance. Sat in the passenger seat feeling scared and dizzy as we shot around corners at what seemed to be break-neck speed. The speedo said 30, max. Hmm. This is not how I usually react to being in a car. Also, needed to use a trolley not a basket so as to use it as a walking frame.
Dave's cough has got worse, and him being asthmatic, links in to that to make breathing problematical. I've had to take him into the health centre a couple of times now, and that means driving at no more than 20 mph and cornering v-e-r-y slowly. They put him on a nebuliser, and now he's got one to stay at home with him, use when needed. Fortunately when he had to go down to the Lister for a chest X-ray, his cough was under control for a bit, and he could drive, as 20 mph down the A1M wouldn't have worked too well.
Have managed to not only eat, but cook, a couple of "real meals" - stuffed baked butternut squash for a lunch (well, two lunches, we're not eating much), and a cooked breakfast. Other than that, we're mainly on nibbles from the fridge, though yesterday we did get a frozen pizza from Aldi and put it through the oven. BBQ chicken - yum! Aldi are very good on low-price high-quality pizzas.
Over the last few days, I have probably watched more TV than in the rest of the year put together. I have seen a lot of Christie (both Poirot and Marple), learnt far more than I ever wanted to know about the Indian railways, and met some charming polar bears.
Today, still very dizzy and need several rest-stops to get up the stairs. Concentration is improving - I've typed this post all in one go. This is progress, of sorts. I'm even multi-tasking - I have my feet in a foot-spa, and am sipping a pot of comfrey tea (which should help sort out the catarrh).
I'm supposed to be back at work on Tuesday? Even assuming I work from home (and since I'm due back at the docs during the afternoon, I'll have to). that will need a LOT of improvement between now and then.
