Could be quite a productive day
Jul. 5th, 2013 12:46 pmFor some reason I still seem to need at least 10 hours sleep a night, more like 12 given the chance, but things are gradually getting set up so that I can get more and more done, ready for when Dave's back to work (day shift) on Sunday.
As long as he's put some clothes out for me, I can do the whole "out of bed, washed, dressed" bit without assistance.
We've sorted access to fridge and so on so I can do breakfast, though nothing more complex than cereal, yoghurt and fruit juice as yet. Also transferred "breakfast bars" next to the sofa and the armchair, as a possible way round the problem of "not enough energy to do all the hopping to get breakfast, in order to get energy, I need to eat breakfast". Later, we may see how I do at making lunch, though the actual plan for Sunday involves a pack of sandwiches in the fridge.
I'm back on the main PC, with an office chair in place and a foot-rest - still keep getting the bad leg going numb, though, due to pressure from edge of chair on back of thigh. A little more adjustment needed there, I think. That means I've caught up with work email, and am juggling two proof-reading jobs, about to post some initial results from a beta-read of a novel, and might even hit some of my own writing. It's so much easier to do all these things with two big screens!
When I've had enough of being on the PC, the next craft plan is knitting: not quite on to the gloves yet, I want to make myself a toe-cosy to go over the end of the cast. Like a sock, but shorter. Might be an opportunity to do a gauge-test for the gloves, since rib, then plain, circular, is more or less what I'm after.
