Which feels like a triumph, unfortunately.
Dave is on nights at the moment, so catering gets complicated, and anything that needs both of us in the same place at the same time for more than ten minutes is on hold.
Work is... busy. I have a nice detailed Project Management style list of what tasks are to be done when, up to the end of the month, and I know exactly how feasible it is and how much contingency space it has in it, because this time I wrote it myself. The answer to that last part is "not much" - it already includes me working late at night a couple of times.
So I get home, cook, eat, do the basics on the PC, fall over. I've checked out the emails telling me my on-line bill is ready for inspection, I've paid the things that need to be paid, I can still find the kitchen, food is getting used up in the right order (i.e. before it goes off) and the washing is being kept down to the point that I can still get the lid on the washing box. Essentials done, spare energy: zero :(
Still, at least this means that the weekend won't have to be a catch-up on all the essentials that didn't get done: and from Saturday afternoon onwards, I get Dave back!
