Off to Berkeley to play HOTT. Yes, in theory it's a competition, but I know I'll place somewhere in the middle, so I'm there to have fun and meet friends.
Richard has promised Morocanth.... I'm taking Kallyr's Sartarite army again, this time tweaked to include a Sneaker, since we're trying out new sneaker rules. Mainly warband of course. I'm still dithering slightly over the rest of the list: riders to keep up with Kallyr as a Hero, flyers (because I like flyers), shooters to give that bit of extra range....? Not the artillery, they were fun as a concept, but no general use. New Stronghold is done, she now has a choice of three, the latest looking a lot like Whitewall. That's really for when I get a base done for Broyan (I have enough Orlanthi now that they can have an army each).

And I have a new army. Those figures I bought off Ebay a whie back: I did some hasty rebasing last night. Lunars. General (currently classified as a Hero), riders to go with him, blades, spears. Finished basing at about 1am, then realised I needed a Stronghold. A quick search through the unbuilt cardboard models, and by 2:30am I had a Roman villa. A few internal walls show bare white, or even instructions, I may try to find some Lunar artwork to cover them.

Anyway, what it all means is that I leave around lunchtime, stay over in the Tudor Arms Friday and Saturday night, back late Sunday. Internet access only by PDA.

We're here

Staying at the Tudor Arms again - a room came free at the last minute. This is a Good Thing, because when Dave rang the campsite to cancel, they were about to ring him to cancel. It's flooded.
Food as good as always, and I'm working my way through their list of scrumpies.
I remembered at thr last minute that a 40mm army of my own would be a good idea, rather than scrambling for one from the pool. I could have brought along the Chess one I've done well with before (queen as AHG, pawns as hordes, etc), but since I made a new one a while back.... the Easter Chicks. Intended to be 12 flyers as an Extreme Army entry, but since I like at least some chance of winning, I'm reclassifying two of them as Aerial Heroes. I think this is the same list as the infamous Puffins from a few years back.
I may also put together another 40mm Extrem Army tonight. The Tribbles. 24 Horde units. I'm considering reclassifying a few as Lurkers, I'll take a look at what colour little fuzzy balls I've got. The Stronghold will be a base of appropriate size with all the spare fuzzy balls sttuck to it. Yes, the inspiration did involve a sale at a craft shop.
No Edible Army this year. I thought I was going to be camping.
