Of blue cocks and dead coyotes

That was fun! Aisle O'Var Backswording club organised a trip down to Canterbury and some people called "Robin Hood Events", to play with field archery, longbows, and that sort of thing. We learnt to shoot, using modern(ish) wooden recurves (no sights or anything nasty like that, but easier to draw than a longbow), picking up all sorts of techniques on the way. Then we split into two teams, and went off to play.
