busy, busy, busy!
Nov. 1st, 2005 12:32 pmGot back last night to find the PC having modem trouble (Dave was sorting it) and in any case in use for helping Steve next door sort out his virus trouble.
Headed out to Sainsburys to stock up, then threw a meal together from what was already in and needed using (king prawns fried in chilli oil with a dash of lime, sauted sweet potatoes, courgettes - weird, but nice.)
Watched TV for once! Cadfael's back. The first episode, the one where he meets Hugh Beringer for the first time. And of course sewing as I watched - Mr. Trumbull, the new Boyds Bear, is acquiring garb for the weekend, so I was making black velvet Tudor trunk hose.
Back to PC, and the Swords game I run (HQ, Glorantha, of course!) has taken off. I finally managed to sort out the introduction for a new character, and it's kickstarted things.
The Upland Marsh game I play in (yes, HQ, Glorantha....) is also on the move. Got to do some responses there...
And email coming in shows me that Gwen (
telynor) is discussing the forthcoming harp weekend (my place, her teaching, an unreasonable number of people in one house) on her LJ. Over there to sort out logistics. Turns out she doesn't drive (!!!) so getting her and three harps to my place will require a Cunning Plan.
Tonight I may finaly get back to swordfighting again. I hope. I'm now due to be meeting two people there - Chris (to pick up the Strongoak banners ready for the weekend revel) and the Far Isles Treasurer (aka my dad) so as to sign some cheques for Briavels cooks refunds and so on.
Leaving Wednesday and Thursday to finish the bear's garb and do some harp practise, since I gather I'm the background music for the event. Oh, and finish memorising the Pome I'm going to be reciting there. Friday night is not an option, as I'm out at a LondonGlorantha pub meet in London.
At least I delegated the cooking (of sorts) this time. I'm providing the cheese board. Dave is off work today. So he's going shopping :) And he'll probably cook a meal for me tonight.
