Apparently these days you can get a GCSE in music without being able to read music.

I've heard of dumbing down exams, but that's ridiculous. What next, English Lit without knowing the alphabet? Has someone come up with the idea that something I learnt at six is too hard for sixteen-year-olds, or something?
