Switzerland: Home to Dijon.

Home to Dijon.
Steve took us to Biggleswade station, Dave had pre-bought tickets (I've never yet seen the place manned, but apparently it happens in office hours). Kings Cross, then across the road to St Pancras. The new station is very smart, blue and white décor and a big Xmas tree. Met our group and guide, Alan, got our bags labelled, then wandered taking pics. Once past check-in and relatively bag-free, picked up Italian phrase books at Smiths: given what we tend to use phrase books for, the "gastronomic dictionary" seems like a good idea. On the train - reserved seats, with "the other" Williams, the couple whose tickets had got mixed up with ours. Off at Paris, and a coach across to Gare du Lyon. Plenty of time there for snaps, then the next train to Dijon. My itinerary tells me lunch was served on-board, my notes mention a baguette bought at Gare du Lyon. Coach from Dijon station to hotel. Alan took some people on a walking tour of Dijon: looking at the pouring rain and my aching feet, I declined.
