Is it me, or is it them?
Apr. 8th, 2014 04:35 pmI want to buy a CD as a present for someone. There's an Amazon link provided with the request. So off to Amazon I go.
I have choices! I can buy the physical CD for £7.99, or the MP3 download for £17.99.
Instant gratification, or save a tenner? That might have been a valid question, were it not for a note on the physical copy: ""
So I can spend a tenner less, and get the physical copy thrown in for free. OK....
Mark it as a gift, or not? No, I think I'll have it delivered to me, and do my own wrapping. When it arrives - the physical is out of stock at the moment anyway.
"The MP3 version of your AutoRip-eligible albums will be added to your Cloud Player for free. Does not apply to gift orders."
Huh? Good job I made that decision, too, then.
So, in every case, paying less means I get more. Am I missing something here?
