State-of-the-Jane is improved
Feb. 9th, 2013 05:02 pm Keeping things low-stress, allowing more WW points than I normally would (using those weeklies), and the weight is still dropping gently.
Appraisal results through in work: it's one of those nasty things where you have to rate yourself, and then your line manager corrects your erroneous impressions. He'd adjusted things up.
Still a bit bunged up, so still not back on the Wii Fit (gasping and wheezing is not conducive to exercise). Blood pressure feels as if it's back where it should be. A "short nap" at 10am lasted till 13:30. Hmm. Must have needed it.
Since then, I've made lunch, found the kitchen worktop and sink, and found the craft table. Dave's working, and I'm doing card experimentation, trying out a few new techniques to see which will do a nice job for a Valentine's card. I now know how to make a "flip-flop" card, and decided that doing that with a heart-shaped aperture doesn't work: the aperture shape needs to be something that's more or less horizontal straight lines in the middle, so extending it sideways in the centre works. Onward to other ideas!
First, though, I'd better make a trip out to Sainsbury's for bacon to wrap round the monkfish tail for tonight. I'd better check what I've got in for Chinese New Year tomorrow, too, and see if I need any extras.
