Alas and alack, O woe is me
Sep. 30th, 2012 12:01 pm Dave wishes to be taken out for a gentle walk around the town centre, and visit the rather nice magazine shop. (Yes, he's recovering from the hernia op fine, and taking gradually increasing amounts of gentle exercise - yesterday was the heady thrills of a trip round Asda!)
So, we will not be able to have lunch at home, and use up ends of salad. Instead, I will be brutally forced to take him to the Old Maltings , choose from their large selection of teas, and investigate their Sunday brunch menu. As I say, alas, alack, etc. How can I lower myself to eat at somewhere that thinks the plural of menu is "menu's"???
