Wheee! I've got a Wii!
Nov. 4th, 2008 08:07 amIn a desperate attempt to bribe myself into exercise, we remembered enjoying Kelly's Wii for downhill skiing. We looked at what was involved in a Wii Fit, and a few games, and bought one on Saturday. I did some skiing last night, and this morning not only skiied (breaking open the Advanced level!) but also did two sessions of step aerobics. My Mii (avatar) stepped in time with a lot of other Miis, and got clapped.
When I've got the hang of this a bit more, there's a game called Zelda that apparently involves waving a sword and shield about. I am bribing myself again - I can try that once I've been through every Fit exercise at least once, and the sports on the free sports disc. This may take a while, because I'm unlocking new things to try: tightrope walking is now an option.
It also tells me I lost a pound since last time, and makes encouraging noises no matter what.
