Last Friday - down the British Museum after work to meet Holly and Raedwulf and possibly some LondonGloranthans and find out about Beer. While there, bumped into Robert of Canterbury and many more SCA friends who I hadn't seen since their revel I went to. Introductions, then we all went out for pizza together. As surprise meetings go, this was great - and Robert will be coming to Bardic, which is also great!
Saturday night, round Chris' for a Strongoak planning and eating meeting: ate toffee, and guineafowl, and pheasant, and mashed things, and planned when to get together again to eat Sossidges, when to go to a market together, and when the next revels might be. Also watched silly DVDs, and did some craft-type things.
Sunday night, out to Jean's for dinner - John and Steph and kids round as well.
A good weekend!
Monday, back at slimming class/aerobics for the first time for ages. Cough stopped, probably-not-a-cracked-rib didn't hurt *too* much, but very tired and achey the next day.
So, the next day, back to backswording. Trying to absorb the new stuff and catch up on the old stuff. Skipped half the "warm-up" (20 pressups with claps? I can't even do one without at the best of times!) but have now got drills 1-3 sorted, and I'm pretty sure of drill 4. And had a spar at the end. Didn't lose too fast.
Wednesday, *seriously* achey.
Thursday - we have snow! Pretty! Er, the car and road are hidden under several inches of it.... made it into work, but half the team aren't here, and those of us who are will probably go home early while we still can. Achey to the point that walking is something to avoid. Will not go to second aerobics class tonight.
