That was a good weekend
Jan. 29th, 2007 12:54 pmMade further Scottish Sossidges Friday night - lamb & barley (from a pack of mince), and sort-of-haggis from liver, veg suet, onions, porridge oats.
Brian and Caroline dropped our medieval tent back to us Saturday morning. 2pm Chris & Alison turned up to pick me up to go to Mel's.
And Burns Night was good. Haggis, neeps, malts, mead, poems, stories. Met Mel's parents for the first time and they are realy nice and intelligent people (so that's where she got it from?) Sossidges worked, though next time the "haggis" will have much more suet and oatmeal, it was almost solid liver and that's overdoing it.
Slept 2am to 5:30am, which was not enough. The cockerel did not wake me, and it was the backache and coughing stopping me going back to sleep, but therew as certainly plenty to listen to once awake. Home, lunch, the afternoon spent catching up on email and Flickr and things, then asleep by 8:30. Feeling better for it today.
