busy, busy, brb
Jul. 13th, 2006 11:36 pmMonday - compulsory day off due to birthday. Meant to be "relax, chill, catch up on writing." In fact totally disorganised due to house-minding the decorator, Dave off sick and needing looking after, and me feeling too knackered/relaxed to concentrate on the things I'd been promising myself to enjoy.

marc_piecemaker on YM, arrange a time when I can deliver the promised beer (tomorrow night)
Wednesday - went according to plan! Dropped into Audi dealer to pick up my birthday present from Dave: a set of front mats for the A2. And I got fed by Marc and Su - mmmm! Instant mash with added cheese and a dash of Lea&Perrins is MUCH nicer than it sounds (even if you think it sounds good). Finally saw the last "Matrix" film = disappointed, but what the .... the company was good.
Thursday. That's today, right? Consultant in to help do some upgrades and mods. We like Vijay a lot, and he hasn't been for an on-site visit for ages - but he costs so much we have to get our money's worth. There was a theory of going to a Rosemary Conley class tonight from 6:30 to 8, to replace the one I missed on Monday. I left work at 9:30pm, after eating take-away pizza and drinking lots of Coke...
and my next bit of birthday present had been delivered. I've got a roof rack!
Tomorrow (Friday), carry on that upgrade but with Vijay logging in remotely. Department breakfast. Nurse again in the evening. Pack the car ready for...
Saturday/Sunday: ACW event at Stanford Hall.

We'd usually camp, but instead Dave's booked us a room nearby at a pub we ate at last time we were there. May well take up a tent or two just so as to make up the line and have somewhere to change. Saturday we'll both be civilian, Sunday is the battle and I'll be on the gun but he won't. And at some point there's the artillery competition - doubt if I'll be directly involved, I'm not a speed expert on the gun yet.
