Query for a friend - where does one take a fabric lover in London?

"Looking for help from my London and/or fabricloving friends: Where should I take someone who loves fabric, cloth, wool, felt, textiles, and arts thereof?"

My immediate thought is "to see Teddy", but this lady is from one of the other worlds I live in, and probably doesn't know him.

Blimey! You mean there really are people who *don't* know Teddy??? *g*

John Lewis's (though their fabric department is a shadow of its former self) and Liberty's are starters; McCulloch & Wallis, and several shops down Berwick Street would be good too.

Not that I am a fabric person myself - but I am told that certain stalls on Walthamstow High Street market are well worth visiting on a Saturday...
