It's spring!

I've just seen and heard the first lawn-mower.

It's not Spring until the caravans lurch out of hibernation and start clogging up the roads with their annual migration to nowhere in particular.

And the tractor eggs hatch. You had seen them, hadn't you? Big round things in a shell that looks deceptively like plastic. The tractors scuttle round the fields in the autumn, first producing them, then gathering them all up and putting them in a safe place (usually a barn). In the spring, they hatch out into baby tractors, that grow to full size almost immediately. I suspect there may be an "eat your siblings" phase, too, as otherwise we'd be overrun with tractors.

Not here in the states. Spring usually doesn't start here season-wise until about May.

Season-wise, I'd agree with you - snow over Easter is not uncommon, and it was below freezing on the way to work today. But that lawn-mower still existed. Others saw it as well.
