What to do with left-over haggis?

I like it. Dave doesn't. Haggi only come in sizes big enough for two or more. So here I am looking at a bit over half a cold haggis in the fridge, and contemplating its uses for breakfast, lunchtime sandwiches, and possibly dinner tonight (though that will be a meal for two, so I'd rather have something we can both eat).

Browsing Google has suggested using it as a stuffing for chicken, or mushrooms: good ideas, but don't help me at the moment.

Apparently making it into a burger-like thing and frying it as part of a bacon&egg breakfast works.

"Warm haggis served with soft floury tortilla wraps and creamy tzatziki is an unexpected match made in heaven", I'm told. Thinking about it, I can believe it.

This page suggests, among other things, omelette. Apparently it also works as a pate, and therefore as a sandwich filling.

OK, Lunchtime sandwich to include haggis, yogurt dressing, cucumber, mint if I can find some - it won't be warm, but it sounds like it'll work.

Breakfast, I fancy the simple fry-up, but an omelette would be an interesting idea, and I don't often get the chance to make this sort of experiment.

I'l report back later.

Edit: omelette report is in comments (click through from photo to Flickr)
Further edit: don't bother having it sliced cold in sandwiches. Edible, but not exciting.

I'm not a fan, but as part of a fried breakfast is one of the least-worst options for me. The version of the [Home Nation] Breakfast one gets north of the border often has a small portion of haggis instead of -- or as well as -- the black/white pudding food group. Indeed, Scottish supermarkets sell it in "sausage" format for that sort of purpose.

The tzatziki suggestion certainly was "unexpected". The rest sound pretty plausible, though.

The most traditional of all is of course "wi' champit tatties, bashed neeps, and oot o' yer heid on whisky", but given the date, and the characterisation as "left-overs", I'm guessing you've already tried some permutation of that one. :)

Indeed, that was last night, and very nice too. Dave had venison sausages instead of haggis.

Mrrrrrmmmmmm, I'll have some of what Dave's having. :)

Can't you freeze some of it for later use as chicken stuffing?

Probably, yes, but remember Dave doesn't like it. If I was doing stuffed chicken breasts, I'd be doing it for two.

Yes, but you'd be doing 2 separate stuffed chicken breasts, so you could stuff yours and not his - only a slight varioation on the meal for 2 people rather than 2 entirely different things. It depends of course on how pathalogical his dislike of it is. I know I couldn't put cheese on one of a pair of something and then cook them in the same pan because Phil would be Deeply Unhappy about it (tm).

Brian found himself the lone taker for the haggis last night, but he says it was a bit too peppery. Phoebe just wanted neeps O.o

You can put it on pizza. Is very nice. On half a pizza if you are sharing it with Dave.

I assume you know the Python poem about haggis? Here in the States, it's virtually unknown...

The Poetry of Monty Python (technically NSFW, since there's a Gilliam image of a naked woman with a policeman's head)

I knew the "Horace" poem, I hadn't realised it was by Python - thanks!
