Been off with a migraine today - I tried hitting it with paracetamol and so on, but when breakfast failed to stay put it became clear that this was not going to be a quick shift, and despite intentions to go in to work once it had cleared, it never did. Still around, mildly: keeping my eyes focused for more than a minute or so hurts, so driving isn't an option.

But, late afternoon, I did manage to get back to the PC for more than a few minutes at a time, and got a few things done.

I've been playing with RSS feeds. In particular, persuading Cold Fusion to read them and display them. There's a nice little tutorial here and having looked through that, I spent some time a few days ago putting a feed from my LJ onto my own home page.

Today, I put a Flickr feed at the bottom of the page, too.

And then, I thought I'd find out about having a scheduled task that grabs an RSS feed, and sends the output to a Yahoo list on a daily basis. I hadn't tried messing with the email server on my new host before, and it took a bit of playing. Also I dn't have admin access to the CF server, so I had to set up the scheduled task programmatically with CFSCHEUDLE. Looks like it works. For the particular task I have in mind (a feed from the Tavern to the Continuum chat list), I don't have an RSS feed to play with and won't have till the weekend, but the principle has been demonstrated.

Now, if only the pain behind my right eye would go away... time for more paracetamol, methinks. And a long drink, and an early night.
